We are giving several classes in dental lab cad cam. The first class is an entry level overview of the digital work flow, taking the digital scan files from the intra-oral scanner...uploading them to the design software, the actual design of a simple crown, the use of 3 dimensional mouse, the selection of milling materials, the milling process, the sintering of a zirconia crown, stain and glazing, firing, final adjustment of the crown to a stone model.
Since this is a hands on class, the classes will be limited to 5 students or less. All materials provided. Lab equipment is cutting edge tech, including a wet/dry 5 axis mill.
Price is $150 for the day. The days are flexible, depending on when each class fills with students.
The class takes place in a fully equipped digital dental lab, here in SW Vegas, and will be taught by a Nevada licensed Clinical Lab Supervisor. This class is perfect for any dentist looking into starting a lab, or anyone interested in CAD CAM, or starting a career as a dental tech. Also, if you are a dental assistant or are in dental assistant school already, having dental CAD CAM knowledge will definitely raise your status in a very competitive market.
Future classes: in depth crown design, bridge design, implant crowns, milling implant abutments, integrating CT Scan and Intraoral scans to make surgical guides, printing models with 3D printer, etc.
This Zirconia crown AND the stone model were made by a 15yr old student of ours, the day after he took the class.
